Gin Rummy is the third card game from AI Factory, and provides a highly polished interface that runs smoothly on all handsets. This game introduces drag and drop card play in addition to touch and go. As ever the game intelligence is finely tuned to provide a good range of opponents to give both the beginner and experienced player a good match. The ads USED to be minimum, but they recently made a change making it nearly impossible to play. The ad comes on, but doesn't go away. If you touch the screen at all, it takes you to your phone's store to download the ad app. Very frustrating. I used to love the game, but now I don't want to sit here for a minute or more with no timer, no bottom line marking the ad's progress, and not having a clue when I'll finally be able to access the game. The ads are just still pics with no escape.

Sorry for your ad experience. Ad networks control how and when ads can be skipped, and popup ads should still be skippable after 5 seconds with fast forward or "x". If fast forward disappears, tap ad where it was. If neither it nor "x" appear, try "back" button. Please report bad ads to [email protected]. Paid version has no ads.

Before downloading this app, I had never played gin rummy. So I am using it as a training tool. I find the discrete levels of AI ability most helpful. The players are tuned to different strategies, and they give the game real-life flavor. Once I surpass a 50% win rate at a given level, I go on to the next. As far as the ads are concerned, they seem to be of average frequency and duration compared to similar free game apps. I appreciate the compact size of the code.

Learned game quickly. Would be nice if we could use our own backgrounds like hearts and spades. Won't purchase pro without that option. Also dislike my cards being sorted as they are dealt to me before I even have a chance to look at them. I never use the sort option. Doesn't seem to be be an option to change this. Being able to chose how long match is would also be great. 100 goes by really fast. But all in all solid game.
